Her House

It was on the twenty-fourth hour of a sad day.

I was lost in a maze and luckily arrived at her house.

A white winter was just going over the Mobius Strip.

A green spring was coming up along the strip.

I opened all the fairy-story books in the house.

Colorful pictures came out and blossomed as flowers

Wherever my eyesight touched.

Rhymes flew out as bees and butterflies.

Condensed words were melting into the frozen ditch.

Then, the sun jumped into the ditch.

Followed by the full moon and the twinkling stars.

The water spray shot up and arched the house with a rainbow.

The time was a midday and a midnight,

Entering the twenty-fifth hour of the fifth season.

I announced that I, Aladdin, would hold a big party.

Then Snow White came down from the sky.

While Mickey and Minnie Mouse were applauding,

I and she danced along the Mobius Strip.

Finally, I found happiness at her house.

*Last month my daughter, Jane, had a poem. "Winter Snow," choses as a semi-finalist that will be published in a book. She lives in America and I live in Korea. I thought it would be a good memory if they were published in the same book while I am visiting her and my younger daughter, Yein. I recall last sumer whn was invited to my friend's house, located just below a pass. What I felt while just watching cars going up and down the winding pass was like people went up and down their winding lives. I hope this good memory help Jane survive tough courses in her junior year of high school.
